Jeffory D. Blackard is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blackard Companies. In a real estate career now in its fourth decade, he has delivered $7 billion in assets and pioneered NeoRetroism, a development philosophy that applies the characteristics of successful historic communities to modern, self-sustaining villages—beginning with Adriatica Village near Dallas. A National Wetland Conservation Award recipient and Accessology’s Developer of the Year, he helped found Amazon Outreach and launch the Linda Esperança medical riverboat. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Northwestern University, which he attended on an athletic scholarship in basketball and track.
